Physical Properties of Haloalaknes CBSE class 12 chemistry

 In this article we discuss about the physical Properties of haloalkane CBSE class 12 chemistry.

We discuss given following properties;

  1. Melting and boiling point.
  2. Solubility.

1. Melting point and boiling point

Molecules of organic hydrocarbon compounds are generally polar in nature where as molecules of organic compounds are polar in nature so organic compounds posses higher force of attraction between their molecules and their also bulky in nature that's why organic halogen compounds causes higher melting and boiling point then simple hydrocarbon.

In other words we can say that hailogen settles are bulky ine nature so they have high melting and boiling point.

2. Solubility

The alkanes are polar remature but they does not dissolve themselves in a polar solvent like water more molecule because the bond resources and the help of carbon halogen pond is very high so we do not get halogen or carbon cation to get dissolved.
