Magnetic field lines
A magnetic field lines of force may be defined as the curve to which a tangent at any point gives the direction of magnetic field.
It also may be defined as the path along which a north pole wounded. If it is free to do so.
Properties of Magnetic field lines
- Magnetic field lines are closed curve with start from north and end at South pole outside the magnet and from South pole to North pole inside the magnet.
- The tangent at any point of the magnetic field lines gives the direction of magnetic field.
- The two magnetic field lines never intersect each other because if the intersect at a point it is two direction of magnetic field lines which is not possible.
- Closure the magnetic field lines stronger the magnetic field.
- Magnetic field lines are always perpendicular to any surface between them.
