Electric Lines of Force
Electric lines of force is the path covered by positive charge if it is free to do so.
- Electric field lines originate from positive charge and terminate at negative charge.
- The electric lines of force do not travel inside the conductor hence the electric field lines inside the conductor is zero.
- But in the isolated conductor electric field lines are non zero.
- The electric field lines of force do not intersect at a point .
- Because if they intersect at a point then there will be two different directions of force which is not possible.
